The World’s Second Largest Salt Water Lake Is On The Verge Of Extinction !

For many years , different parts of the world have been faced with serious disasters for environmental changes . Every year millions of people loose their life for natural disasters such as earthquake , flood , hurricane and while large number of people are left homeless . To face with these natural disasters scientists and academicians work together , organize seminars to reduce the effects . But many underdeveloped countries are not interested in these kinds of matters and they never care about the value of existing natural resources . Today large number of natural resources are on the verge of extinction .
Iran’s regime has planed to destroy the natural resources in South Azerbaijan .and large number of natural resources are on the verge of extinction in this region for the regime’s policy against South Azerbaijani Turks .
As you know the world’s second largest salt water lake is located in South Azerbaijan , Iran in the west region by Urmia city and near the border of Turkey . The total area of the lake is 4868 square kilometers . The limit of the lake from north to south is 140 kilometers and 55 kilometers from east to west . The deepest point is 16 meters and there are more than 100 islands in .
More than 546 varieties of plants in the lake have been recorded . Four kinds of plants , pseammaphytic , xerophytic , halophytic and hydrophytic which are considered so important in medical field are found in the lake . In addition , 27 types of mammals , 212 types of birds , 41 types of worms and 26 types of fish are on the verge of extinction .
Nazlichay , Ajichay , Sofuchay , and Tatovuchay are four river that flow down to the lake . In view of salt , mud and the variety of minerals , the lake is considered one the world’s most famous lakes .
These days all the people in South Azerbaijan,in so called Iran talking about this lake.The parliament of Iran’s regime passed a law in which they decided to leave the Urmia lake to dry up.Billion tones of salt will destroy the cities and the nature of South Azerbaijan and this is exactly what Iran’s regime were planning for.One of the members of the parliament,Musa Alreza Servati saying that instead of spending a lot of money for surviving Urmia lake,it is better for South Azerbaijani Turks to leave the homeland and live in other places where are far from the disaster!!!!!
This dirty policy of Iran’s regime will be answered by South Azerbijani Turks in Tabriz,Urmia and other big cities by street meetings and demonstrations.
